Mr. Hogge has a unique combination of practical experience and a strong work ethic from growing up in a farming and ranching family along with thoroughness and pride in workmanship from owning and operating a Design/Build Electrical Contracting company under his own name. Mr. Hogge has been a qualifying party for Electrical Contractors licenses for himself as well as for Salt River Project. This advantage becomes apparent when complex electrical installations and failures require an understanding of construction techniques, standards of care, and technical issues.
Mr. Hogge received his BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University in 1989 and continued with a number of graduate level courses in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Engineering and Power Electronics. Mr. Hogge has provided services as a Qualifying Expert Witness including testimony in over 50 depositions and 8 trials, both as plaintiff and defense expert. Mr. Hogge has been providing consultation as a Forensic Electrical Engineer since 1995 with cases involving electrical systems and components in failures, fire causes, injuries, construction issues, root failure cause, standards of care, as well as safety and cost analyses. Mr. Hogge has provided instruction in electrical design, failure analyses, and electrical fire causes to various entities including the Phoenix Police and Fire, Mesa Police and Fire, IAAI seminars, and others. He also continues to hone his education attending numerous classes and seminars concerning electrical issues and fire investigations.
Mike Hennessy is a graduate Civil-Structural Engineer from Arizona State University. He worked for 2 years as a Structural Engineer designing commercial and residential buildings as well as pedestrian bridges. He also provided services as a field and lab materials tester for soils, concrete, and asphalt for approximately 1-1/2 years. He has been a licensed EIT in the state of Arizona, working towards his PE license, for approximately 6 years. Mike has evaluated damage claims to all types of roofing and construction since February 2010.
Halley Stevens is a graduate Mechanical Engineer from Arizona State University, and has over 20 years of experience in the Design, Development and Analysis of and Rocket Structures and Pyrotechnic Devices such as Solid Propellant Rocket Motors, Gas Generators, Ballistic Devices. He also has 12 years of experience in the Design, Development, and Analysis of Inflators for Automobiles, and holds 8 patents for various types of inflators. Halley’s areas of expertise include Stress Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Thermal Analysis & Ballistics, and 3D modeling in both Wireframe and Solids using various analysis programs.
Ron Ballard is the previous owner and operator of Ballard A/C & Heating, and has over 25 years of experience with installation and repair of both commercial and residential air conditioners and heating units as well as other mechanical equipment. He is also experienced with inspection of HVAC units and providing expert opinion on the severity of damage to such units from hail storms and other causation factors.
